How Dionos Services works
If your NGO is interested, we would like to encourage you to get in touch with us. Our work requires to be present on-sight, thus depends on the location of our staff. We are well aware of the very limited financial funds of most NGOs and we discuss this matter on a case-by-case basis, always finding satisfying solutions for both parties.
Please send us your NGO’s profile as well as a short outline of problems you are facing. Together we will find a suitable plan.

Methods used
Dionos Services mostly utilizes approaches developed in the field of anthropology and development studies. These approaches (such as specific bottom-up, participatory and reflective approaches) build an excellent foundation to develop concrete and specific technical advice and solutions individually designed for an NGO.

An insight into our work - I: Problem Analysis
A center for disabled people in North Sumatra, Indonesia lacked effective methods to keep track of their clients, what disabilities they have, and how their profiles change throughout time. This did not allow them to effectively focus on the different individuals in order to help them with their very different disabilities and find suitable work or projects for them. Further, there had been a very burdensome system of keeping track of their donors without much organization that could allow for a transparent overview of funds, as well as further action such as the easy sending of newsletters to all of them. This resulted in fewer donations throughout the years, as there was no transparency and no tokens of appreciation towards the donors. Lastly, the center is short of staff to support the programme.

An insight into our work - II: Easy yet Effective Solutions
By developing a simple, yet effective, database that works on their computers, the center now saves a lot of time by simply entering their clients’, donors’, as well as staffs’ data into the database, with an automatic output and analysis of several indicators. This also allows to get rid of the heavy paper usage and makes available another room, previously used to store files. Clear donor data is now used to further appreciate donors’ contributions by sending them newsletters and small tokens of appreciation, including detailed information on how their donation is being used – this will gradually allow for an increase in donations. A newly developed website helps to promote the ideals of the center and, by connecting this website to existing volunteering networks, to attract international volunteers and interns. These young people can learn for and complement their studies, while they make up for the lack of staff.
These solutions are simple and yet highly effective. They allow the limited staff to have more time, thus focus on new things and regain motivation to further develop their program – hence allowing for high human potential to develop by eliminating unnecessary, burdensome work.
